Installing WordPress has never been easier. With the one-click installation feature available in cPanel, you can set up your WordPress website within minutes. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the entire process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free installation.
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
First, log in to your hosting account’s cPanel using your username and password. The cPanel is the control panel where you can manage all aspects of your hosting account.
Step 2: Open Softaculous Apps Installer
Once inside cPanel, locate the search box at the top and type “Softaculous Apps Installer.” Click on the Softaculous option from the search results. This tool allows you to install various applications, including WordPress, with just a few clicks.
Step 3: Select WordPress
Within Softaculous, find “WordPress” from the list of applications. Click on it to proceed to the installation page.
Step 4: Click ‘Install Now’
On the WordPress installation page, click the “Install Now” button to start configuring your website settings.
Step 5: Configure Software Setup
In the installation settings:
- Choose Protocol: Select either
https://(if your domain has SSL) orhttp://(if not). - Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install WordPress.
- Directory: If you want to install WordPress on your main domain, leave this field blank. Otherwise, specify a subdirectory.
Step 6: Set Up Site Details
In the “Site Settings” section:
- Site Name: Enter the name of your website.
- Site Description: Provide a short description of your site.
Step 7: Configure Admin Account
To manage your website, you need an admin account:
- Admin Username: Choose a unique username (avoid “admin” for security reasons).
- Admin Password: Set a strong password or use the auto-generated one.
- Admin Email: Enter a valid email address to receive important notifications.

From the “Select Language” dropdown, choose the preferred language for your WordPress dashboard.
Step 9: Select a Theme
