Managing website maintenance, development, and domain administration efficiently requires multiple users in cPanel. By adding sub-users, you can delegate tasks without sharing the primary login credentials. In this comprehensive guide, we will walk you through the process of adding multiple sub-users in cPanel, ensuring secure access and efficient management.
Step 1: Log in to cPanel
To begin, log in to your cPanel account using your username and password.

Once logged in, scroll down to the ‘Preferences’ section and click on ‘User Manager’. This section allows you to manage additional users who will have controlled access to your cPanel account.

Step 3: Add a New User
Click on the ‘Add User’ button located on the left side of the screen.

Step 4: Enter User Information
Fill in the required details for the new user:
- Full Name: Enter the user’s full name.
- Username: Define a unique username.
- Domain: Select the domain the user will have access to.
- Email Address: Provide a contact email for the user.

Step 5: Configure Security Settings
In the ‘Security Information’ section, choose one of the following password options:
- Option 1: Allow the sub-user to set their password.
- Option 2: Set a password manually for the sub-user.
For better security, it is recommended to manually set the password and share it securely.

Step 6: Generate a Strong Password
Click on ‘Generate Password’ to create a secure password. Copy the generated password and store it safely.

Step 7: Configure User Services
Enable the required services for the user:
- Email: Set a mailbox size (default is 512 MB, but you can specify custom limits).
- FTP: Assign storage space and define the home directory path.
- Web Disk: Choose between Read-Write (full access) or Read-Only (restricted access).

Step 8: Create the User
Once all details are configured, click ‘Create’ to finalize the process. Your new sub-user is now successfully added to cPanel.

By following these steps, you can efficiently add multiple users to your cPanel, ensuring better security and delegation of tasks. If you need to manage or delete users, simply return to the ‘User Manager’ section.
